It's that time of year again already? GEEZ. How time flies.
I'm going home for thanksgiving on tuesday! Not a long vacation, but I'm excited to check up on things at home even for just a little while <3
It's also weird to think that almost exactly a year ago from today, I was visiting RISD for the first time. :0
Also, I'm feeling a lot better than I did this weekend, I now just have an annoying cough and stuffy nose. But that's what coughdrops are for.
WELL ANYWAY. Here is my holiday wishlist, thanks again to

! Everyone feel free to copy this and write your own!

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.
STEP ONE
** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.
** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!
STEP TWO
** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
NOW LET'S SEE IT!
1. Might as well get the impossible wish out of the way first. I wish that my soulmate would hurry up and emerge from the shadows, haha. Life is so lonely without you... mystery man. xD
2. Gift art of any kind is amazing! Especially traditional, I just love to see what other people come up with, especially when there's collagey-type things going on. Plus, I'd love to have more art to go on my walls, either at home or at my home away from home/ dorm. There will always be room for more! <3
3. I kinda love plushies. A lottt. alotalot. If anyone were to make me a plushie... I would love you forever. Also, clay figurines, if you like doing that. :0
4. I realized today that I am in need of some good winter hats! I am pretty set on other cold weather gear, but... hats. HATS. knitted hats with the dangly ear flaps on either side. <3
5. YUMMY THINGS. I am a tea fanatic. I pretty much like every kind of tea, except perhaps mixed berry flavors. Everything else is WONDERFUL. I go through so much tea in a month! I've lately had an affinity for Earl Grey and Rose flavors, and I love trying new flavors too, of course. :3
Aside from tea, I also love dark chocolate more than anyone really should, and gingerspicey things.
6. Other various odd accessories that I love! Including: victorian things such as spats and little tophat things and headbands, nifty gloves/armwarmers, things with buttons... yes I love buttons. ALSO I have always wanted a gasmask. Doesn't have to be functional, I'd just feel like such a badass if I could walk around wearing one, hehehe. C8
7. Good-smelling paraphenalia. I probably didn't spell that word right, either. :0
I enjoy anything vanilla, pumpkiny, flowery... lotion, spray perfume, soap, all is welcome. xD
I would say candles, but I'm not allowed to burn them at college or at home, so sadly there is nothing I can do but look at them and wish I could light a match. But I cannot. -sheds a tear-
8. I'm nearing the end of my DA subscription, so a subscription is always nice. :3
9. Random silly things that strike your fancy. IDK strange or funny presents are great!
10. UHH. Actually, this is a rather odd request, but if you happen to have any bird/rodent skulls, interesting feathers or moth/butterfly wings sitting around that you don't know what to do with, I'd love to have some for art projects. OR just anything that you think would go great in a collage in general, since I'm taking a collage class and I'm sure to put lots of stuff to use. Lacey things like doilies, cool buttons, keys, paper with neat designs, etc. I'm sure I'd find a way to use any of it. :]
If you need an address, note me!
I'm going to try to make as many gifts as possible, as time permits! Some of it might overflow into january/february since I'll have more spare time then to do some stuff on my own, seeing as I'll only have one studio class then.
I know how to crochet now, and I've had a bit of experience sewing, so perhaps with these somewhat crude newfound skills, some gifts will happen. ;]
Much love to all <3
