Now that I've finally got all my concentration pieces done and on the computer, it's time to submit more stuff, wooo. :D

This piece always gives me a mix of feelings because I was SO proud of it and spent forever on it, and yet still feel like it was a failed effort since it wasn't chosen for state VASE. How silly of me to get discouraged by a bit of subjective judging... I think I was just frustrated because I felt like I had improved a lot since two years ago, when I made it to state and got an award there for a painting I didn't even like, and didn't make it for something I thought was much better, that I thought was my best effort.


...anyway.

This was a life size "portrait" done of my dear cat, Apollo. He's the silliest little guy, and he absolutely LOVES his spotty pom-pom toys, the only toys he ever agrees to play fetch with. I think he likes it because it's spotted, like him. xD

actual size is 16" x 20" (much larger than my usual art, haha) acrylic on canvas.

its incredibly beautiful and lifelike~ don't be discouraged by an opinion. their opinion is worth nothing more than anyone elses. makes no difference if they call themselves a judge. ;3

and i say its a wonderful piece. n__n
