Me and were having a lovely chat and decided we needed characters that went together. HAAH. And SOMEHOW we decided to mix beat, hippie and emo into SOMETHING SEXY. xD
So... I came up with... THIS. I think his tiedye pants are the best part. Not that I did them well (because I didn't) just the fact that he has them. :B
I'm pretty sure he's ridiculously gay. (haha, how could he not be?!)
THIS WAS SUPER FUN TO MAKE THOUGH. And the background. Gosh. I'm doing so many cityscapes. I tried to do something with perspective and I don't know if it's right or not. I even loosely used a reference... but still. BAHHH. It's physically impossible for me to draw straight lines. xD
ATLEASTTHECOLORSAREPRETTY!!!
And I made more textures for this. It's really nice having all the time in the world again, I could just paint like crazy and make some nice textures for myself.
The foreground was originally done rather sloppily in colored pencils, scanned, messed with digitally to make it cleaner... and then the background was digitally painted plus my textures that I made with acrylic paint. YAYY.
I think the only big thing that bothers me is one of his legs is longer than the other. But really. IT'S NOT IMPORTANT. THE IMPORTANT THING IS I HAD FUN MAKING IT. EVERYONE'S A WINNER. YAYYY.
I still need to come up with a good name for this fella. If you guys have any suggestions that'd be just lovely. <3333
meanwhile, my family is screaming about a hockey game in the other room. I'm calmly, mildly amused.
years ago, i was so freaking pissed when i tried to tie-dye my jeans. when i bleached them, well, i forgot fabric absorbs liquids (durr), and couldn't figure out why all the bleach solution had drained from the stopped-up sink. so i didn't bother rinsing out my jeans, figuring the bleach had drained out. three days later, they were snow white and disintegrating. and i wore them until they would tear just from touching them. MORAL OF THE STORY: i failed at tie-dye jeans. that takes skills.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
