Artist's Comments

Finally getting around to submitting more stuff... THERE IS MUCH MOREEEE I need to get off my lazy bum and scan it.
Did this about a week ago, after I got really inspired by Camille Rose Garcia's work. You can probably tell by looking at this... xD
I wanted to paint on wood! So I found scrap wood in our garage. And painted it. :D

I wonder who the foxalope is expecting as guests to his little teaparty in glacier land. I think the owl would like some tea too. :0

Seriously have no idea what's going on, I just painted whatever came to mind!

Interested in getting a print? Send me a note! Signed prints of this work for $7.

media: acrylic on wood.

Even if you cannot hear my voice, I'll be right beside you dear.

I am the Lover, and the Monster, one the same.

The wood is a nice texture... How thick is it? xD
Anyways, this is wonderful. (:
I love the FOXALOPE. There needs to be more. Yes.
:iconcrazy-book-worm:
Sweet! I love the texture and the sort of surrealism of this piece.

It begs the question, do foxalopes eat jackalopes? :D

No more turning away from the weak and the weary
No more turning away from the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be no more turning away?
~Pink Floyd

Ooh, how awesomely surreal. I like the dead branch table-legs, and the branch hung in the moon. And as always, the colors you use make me so happy <3
Painting on wood seems so fun, I even tried using a huge-ass looooong piece of wood for my concentration this year, one that my dad similarly found in my garage. XD But somehow, for me it was way harder than I imagined... I think it was because the texture was too coarse, and the fact that it was like half my weight lol x_x So I ended up scrapping the project... I reaaally need to find better wood next time though, cause I've been inspired by all sorts of stuff like this painting, plus the wood paintings by the artist Audrey Kawasaki. I wanna paint on wood so bad now! :D

Just that word. Foxalope. I love it.

And I love this painting :]

"Where?"
"Oh, wherever men of my sort used to go, long ago. Wandering on paths that other men have not seen. Behind the sky. On the other side of the rain."
~Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
:iconstitchedmoon:
The colors are really pretty. *__* I like how it looks as if the sky itself is sort of branching and dripping down from the top of the picture.
