if I release you to the wind will you float to the heavens and remind the evening star that my wish still has not come true?
I see the future in front of me, glorious, golden, promising, but always out of my reach. Love is the one thing I wish for, every chance I get. I'm really just a young, idealistic fool. But that dream, that perfect future, is the one thing that keeps me going. And now, when it seems so close, it's only barred from my reach. All I can do now is wait. wait. hope. wish.
</end need to vent>
but yes. This picture actually does have a lot of meaning to me.
This really just started as a small doodle on a paper. Then I decided to try a new method coloring, scanned it in, which enlarged it quite a bit, and... I decided I REALLY like this method. Why? Because I'm lazy and/or just HATE linearting, I can do this and completely skip that step, and just use the original pencil sketch as lineart. SCOOOORE.
Soummm. Nilla anthro-fied. I've been playing around with the idea for a long time and sketched similar things (I do a LOTTTT of doodling, it just never gets posted. I draw CONSTANTLY, but very little of it is "DA-worthy") xD
And yes, I know the anatomy has some issues, particularly concerning the arms and hands. I'M WELL AWARE. In my defense, the original picture was 2 inches tall and I wasn't really taking anatomy seriously here. Plus, it's STYLIZED, riiiiight? (ALWAYS A GOOD EXCUSE!)
media: Pencil, photoshop elements 1.1 (HOW OLD FASHIONED), my own tea stained paper as texture.
the some-what awkward, cartoonish, yet delicate looking body really fits the theme. who cares about anatomy at least drawing things like this adds some variety to a gallery
This is amazing, Nilla. And I love the style and the texturing you used, too - I just love everything about it. And I really don't see any anatomy errors at all. Wonderful job. <33
Psshh, I love your anthro style even if the anatomy is off. I like looking at peoples vents, mine never seem to make it to devArt because I end up getting all frustrated and I'll bite it or stab it with pointy objects.

Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
