...you'll have bad luck.

This is the first of my concentration pieces for my AP 2D portfolio. (My concentration is SUPERSTITIONS!)


I was really disappointed when I scanned this, which I did about 10 times in a bunch of different ways before I gave up. I think my scanner just DOESN'T like light blue. -_______-

So, I triedddd to make it look more like the original by messing around with it in photoshop... it still doesn't look as good. Now it just looks like a digital concoction.
I REALLY need a high quality camera for situations like this...


well UGH!!

anyway!

I like to call this fellow LADDERMAN, because he walks under ladders apparently. How daring of him! He must have some bad things in store for him. D8


The next one will be "An apple a day"
It's still in progress at the moment.

I'm gonna have to do these at a rate of about one per week if I'm going to finish my portfolio on time... :[


WELL DUH, I FORGOT:

media: mostly watercolor, with some black acrylic and ink and a little colored pencil, and a scanner that decided to sap all of the lighter values completely away, and digital failure.
SURPRISE! this actually ISN'T on cardboard for once!

This is really nice. I like all the... blacks. The splash of yellow is a nice touch.

Interesting choice of concentration. Mine is pirates. I always get pissed off at all the other kids in my class cause their concentration is PEOPLE. Guh. My friends need to be more creative.

People need to be more creative with their concentrations! Too many people just do grid drawings of faces all year, it's like... GUHHH, NOOO.

Yeah, I think I have about 5 done already. I need to take some stuff home cause this one I'm doing now has gone over a week and it doesn't look like I'll be finished very soon. Gotta have 12 by, what, early March? April? I forget. I need to get a couple breadth done before then too.

Well there's this one guy in my class doing trees... He's really good with Prismas. But all three of my friends in AP are doing people. It's like, what the hell, do you guys not have an imagination? Psh.
