Artist's Comments

Here are the other 7 fox drawings I did with wet charcoal.
FORGOT TO MENTION AGAIN... yes, I drew from a fox taxidermy at our nature lab. Each one is 18 x 24 inches, don't mind the different sizes in this picture, that was just for composition's sake.

MMMMMMMMMMMYES.

I DO have a lot of stuff to submit.
When I say I'm working on art 24/7 here... I'm not lying. xD

okay DA. why aren't you uploading my file?
oh wait. it's the internet disconnecting every 10 seconds.
AWESOME!

WELLL... it's easier for me than dry charcoal, but it's a completely different method. If you like using watercolor, you would love wet charcoal as well. It's very similar to watercolor, or like using watercolor colored pencils. Just experiment with a spray bottle and move the charcoal around with your fingers. It's so cooool. :D

Oh, these all have such a nice sketchy loose feel! I especially like the third one.

My, oh my. I do love your style of drawing so very much. I thought I was enamored w/the spirally details of your paintings, but here in the midst of wet charcoal, I question that assumption. These are absolutely beautiful. The second one down is my favorite. The poise of the creature, the careful glance in his eyes. You have an incredible talent..

I dig through the dust in your skull, but I can not seem to find your soul...

I love these, they're so lively and the textures are fantastic!

Now I need to try wet charcoal if I have time...
