So and I were hangin' out today making shrinky-dinks! lolol, such fun. ;B
I haven't done these since elementary school. It was grand!
We decided to make connecting charms. In corresponding order:
Pink did the top two, I did the bottom two. :] the picture on the left is how they looked on the paper BEFORE being put in the oven and shrunk. On on the right, is after. (not sized to scale, hahaa) As you can see, somehow shrinking them changes around the colors in unexpected ways. They still look cool though.
I will be doing more of these fer shur. I mayyyyyy just take commissions for custom charms. After I'm more caught up on my to-do list, of course. ;D
this is what happens when you use a mix of prisma markers and sharpies on shrinky dink paper? loll.
Shrinky-dinks...the name alone always seemed to make me laugh BAHAHAHA.
The originals are great, puzzle pieces are such a neat idea haha. Ahh, when I first looked at this, I thought "Man, the shrinkage kinda messed up the colors!" But upon closer inspection, they actually look kinda neat. Particularly the one with your sona on it, it came out cool lookin' with the shadow and everything.
and yeah it was really strange! You can't tell by the photo, but india ink ends up making the black look really dull, and everything else is shiny. It's kinda weird looking, but oh well. Now I know. xD

Sharpies = yes Prisma markers = yes Prisma pencils = yes (just sand the surface first and it adheres just fine!) Paint = no-- some paints just crinkle up and their structure effs over D:
Also, try using an exacto and cutting a small hole in a corner so you can add a jump ring and boom, necklace!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
