Artist's CommentsPOKEMON AGAIN, you say? yes. again. And one of the selected FEW pokemon after the original 150 that I actually like. (HOUNDOOM, for those pokemon-illiterate people. xD) And actually, I figured now is a better time than ever to draw a houndoom picture, since, on my old crystal game, I have one named 'October.' ahaha. Even though I SHOULD be working on the stuff in my humongo list, I did this. And it took quite a while. First of all, I'm working on further developing my "semi-realism" style. Meaning, a cross between realism and cartoon. I think I'm starting to get a hang of the fur texture. STARTING. :] And this is my first try EVER at an autumn scene. Other than glancing at a ref once or twice, I pretty much did it all on my own, and I guess it came out... pretty decently? I have SUCH A HARD TIME drawing trees that have leaves on them, because they overlap in weird places and ARGHH. It's hard. D: The anatomy is definitely not perfect. I kept redrawing the legs, and because of that, it probably got a little screwed up. That always happens. ALWAYS. D: butyeah. Even so, I think I'm pretty proud of this, because working on this helped me develop a lot of things I've been wanting to improve in in my digital art. And the colors seemed to flow together nicely. SO. Comments, crits, whatever, all is appreciated? xD hope you all like. ♥ |

October is a good season for this pokemon, I think.
