hahaha corny title. Corny title that wouldn't fit in the title box. xD
[it's supposed to be Silver Bells and Pinefresh smells. But whateverrrr.] YEAH. This is my lovely Christmas/ Winter holiday picture of the year. It took hours and hours and hours. I was lucky to have finished it in time since I've been bogged down with so much stupid work. [exams suck]. The DA Holiday card project was my main motivation for this. I wanted to actually participate this year. <3 Anywayyyy. I always love those Holiday cards with pinecones and cardinals on them, so I had to try one this year. Cardinals are prettyyy. And, DUH, of course it had to have a cat on it too. I'm the freak that wears a kitty-eared hoody and an actual cat collar with a bell on it. OF COURSE THERE'S A CAT IN THE PICTURE. ahah. I already mentioned that this took forever. right. The entire thing is in various types of markers. Tombos, sharpies, and prismas, all combined. As well as the one india ink pen I have left that hasn't completely run out of ink. I also used a couple refs, mainly just so I could get the collar and cat markings to look right. Much thanks to the 365-day cat calender for my inspiration. :] My new scanner even messes things up sometimes, and for some reason when I scanned this, the kitty's eyes turned out RED. And they were GOLD. wtf. I fixed that in Photoshop though. So all is well. I don't really like how the cat's face turned out... eh. There are plenty of other things wrong with this, many of which only I notice because I've been staring at it for hours on end. But I'll try not to be too depressing and hating-my-art-ish today, since the Holidays are about love and happiness. LOOOVE. ♥♥ I wish you all a very merry holiday season!  ,Nilla |
