POKEMON AGAIN, you say?
yes. again.
And one of the selected FEW pokemon after the original 150 that I actually like. (HOUNDOOM, for those pokemon-illiterate people. xD) And actually, I figured now is a better time than ever to draw a houndoom picture, since, on my old crystal game, I have one named 'October.' ahaha.
Even though I SHOULD be working on the stuff in my humongo list, I did this. And it took quite a while.
First of all, I'm working on further developing my "semi-realism" style. Meaning, a cross between realism and cartoon. I think I'm starting to get a hang of the fur texture. STARTING. :]
And this is my first try EVER at an autumn scene. Other than glancing at a ref once or twice, I pretty much did it all on my own, and I guess it came out... pretty decently? I have SUCH A HARD TIME drawing trees that have leaves on them, because they overlap in weird places and ARGHH. It's hard. D:
The anatomy is definitely not perfect. I kept redrawing the legs, and because of that, it probably got a little screwed up. That always happens. ALWAYS. D:
butyeah. Even so, I think I'm pretty proud of this, because working on this helped me develop a lot of things I've been wanting to improve in in my digital art. And the colors seemed to flow together nicely.
